![]() Other PC's we have, and I just build this one a few weeks back. I also have an Hitachi 1TB Storage drive. 1x 8800GT BFG OC (in the machine for any Physx games) all off a WD 1TB HD Caviar black. We have a few gamers in our household and sometimes I tend to get a mixture of config's going.Į8400 3.83GHZ, Zalman 9990 CPU cooler, 8gb 1066 DDR2 Ram, ASUS Striker 2 formula mobo, 1x XFX GTX 285 742 core clock, 1529 Shader Clock, 2683 memory clock. I was wondering if some of the other players who actively subscribe to AoC could post their gfx card specs? Not just 256mb or w/e but core clock speed, etc and what average gfx settings they use in-game with what kind of fps while doing so. A gamer had to always buy a card to even load the launch screen in an mmo. On the bright side I'm pretty proud that Im able to play (on low settings) most mmo's with onboard gfx & no card because it wasnt long ago that that wasn't possible. So far, the only card I have seen online to upgrade to for this tower is a 256mb pci-e card which doesn't seem like a upgrade worth using. The 8200 is a integrated gfx card, onboard, not a separate card. I keep telling posters here I'm not on a portable PC or a laptop. You can surely run it on low, maybe with some slides jacked up a bit. The graphics of the game is great but it needs a fast computer. TO the op: A portable PC is not the right thing for AoC, the 8200 card is just enough to run the game. I had about the same system myself before and the only thing that brought me more FPS was to clock up my GFX cards.Īfter I upgraded to my 280 GTX the problem disapeared and my OT FPS got a huge boost with every slider maxed in the game. In your case the problem is that AoC (And all other MMOs I played) don't support SLI. I suggest you lower your game detail levels.Īnd your getting that FPS for what detail level? (high/med/low)? When i turn everything to max on my settings and go to a busy area like Old Tarantia, my fps drops to ~15 ish and sometimes i freeze for a moment, i have an 8800gts G92. That means (no doubt) your computer cannot handle the detail level you have on your game settings. You would want to crank this right up for a start.Īlso tone down the view distances, particals, shadows and tweak around even at a lower res to see if that helpsġ0fps or even 20 is very low, actually dangerously low (gameplay wise) This is a setting which can be tweaked if your GPU uses shared memory which I think yours does from the system RAM overall. You see under textures, (blanked out for me because of DX10 other settings). You could try playing at a lower resolution than the 1440x900 widescreen. What can help is the setting you play at. When you hit that stuttering - I have had it before on an old X300 system in the beta for the game back close to 2 yrs ago, was simply an area loading up and the video card can't handle it. That is not to say that you can not get any enjoyment out of playing and maybe there are some tweaks that can be applied to help allievate your issues but I fear they will not go away. Things like GTA Vice City, KOTOR or Quake 3 no problems but with AoC it is a bit different. This puts it solely on the very bottom baseline for Age of Conan's minimum requirements. The integrated 8200 is something like the equivilent of and X300 ATI or maybe even the old 9600 PRO. I really think the glitches your having is solely down to your graphics card unfortunately. Language: English (Regional Setting: English)īIOS: )Phoenix - Award WorkstationBIOS v6.00PG Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.longhorn_rtm.080118-1840) I would like any input possible since I cant post on the official AoC website due to being on trial status. My PC has never had this problem before in other mmo's except smaller hangups like lag spikes in mmo's that used to have memory leaks.(which is nothing I can control) I run 2 PC's on the same connection and the other PC usually plays net radio and never has a connection hangup when this occurs. It happens every 30 minutes to 2hrs, randomly like I said. I am thinking of possibly subscribing but I am reconsidering it if I can't resolve this issue. ![]() It's getting very frustrating and my trial is almost up. At random times and places in-game, the game locks up for 10-20 seconds which almost every time results in my character dieing. I've been doing the trial for a few days but I have been having one particular issue that keeps happening over and over again.
